We secure financing and implement the restoration measures. Finally, we establish and maintain long-term monitoring to ensure the success and lasting impact of the restoration.

By restoring the site, we stop the degradation and possible extraction of the underlying peat soil, which can be several meters deep. This prevents additional emissions beyond those from the surface. Over time, the formation of new peat creates an additional climate benefit by establishing a new carbon sink.
